Welcome to Irton House Farm Holiday Cottages
Irton House Farm compromises of six holiday cottages which sit around a central courtyard. The cottages have been carefully designed to provide easy access and comfort for all our guests including any with disability including wheelchair users (see facilities for more information).
The farm is set in 240 acres of pasture and woodland and commands possibly one of the finest views found in the Northern Lake District, sitting in an elevated position with uninterupted views over Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and the North Lake District fells (the panoramic photographs above are views from the farm).
All our luxury accommodation has been furnished throughout to a high specification, having been specifically designed to provide easy access for all our guests including those with reduced mobility. All the cottages are easily accessible with parking immediately outside your front entrance. Choose any of our accommodation and you will benefit from customer controlled central heating. This way you can maintain a comfortable temperature for you at no additional cost.
Guests are requested not to smoke in the apartments. There are friendly owners in residence at the adjacent farmhouse. There are laundry facilities on site and access to these can be arranged with the owner on request. Well behaved dogs are welcome - for details please enquire when booking your holiday.
Feedback from the Disabled Motoring UK Awards 2012
The member who nominated them praised their wonderful hospitality and described Irton House Farm as "a place where I feel safe, extremely comfortable, able to cope and enjoy a wonderful holiday, where being disabled makes no difference whatsoever"
Joan and Reg look forward to hearing from you.
